One lonely night on the Blue Bayou, we recieved a letter from the wild west, The House of Orbison to be more specific, asking Fatboy to be a part of the celebration of The big O’s 75th birthday, that would have been the 23 of April 2011.
This week we recorded two songs from the Orbison songbook; Mean Woman Blues and The Actress. Once we were asked (and honoured), we dug into the treasures of lonely blue songs that tore our hearts. Not an easy task to choose but The Actress is an old favorite of ours and Mean Woman Blues has always been a great standard rocker that was an appreciated part of his live performances. The Orbison Session of course took place at the legendary Atlantis studio in Stockholm with Chief technician Janne Hansson in the driver’s seat. What could go wrong?
You are the one to decide in the near future – somewhere in a jukebox near you.

Now here’s a challenge for the sound engineer – not too loud and not too scared.
